MUDDADDY FLATS

Muddaddy Flats, LLC. is a fast-casual eat-in/take-out Quesadillary located on 3rd Street in historic Downtown Troy, New York. The business is owned and operated by Dan Frament, who celebrated the eatery’s Grand Opening in September 2012.

“Mud Daddy” is a name Dan’s daughter gave him when she was 3 years old. He had a summer job working as a mason’s laborer. He would come home dirty and she’d say, “You’re mud daddy, daddy!” And it was one of those things that stuck through the years. Twenty years later he had the opportunity to buy a bunch of restaurant equipment and rent a little space in downtown Troy and since he was basing his menu on quesadillas, Dan called it “MudDaddy Flats.”
